Rology Closes New Funding Round to Accelerate Expansion Across the Middle East and Africa

Rology, the leading FDA 510(k)-cleared AI-assisted teleradiology platform in the Middle East and Africa, announced the successful closing of its growth funding round, with participation from global healthcare and technology leaders, including the Philips Foundation, Johnson & Johnson Impact Ventures, Sanofi Global Health Unit’s Impact Fund, and MIT Solve Innovation Future. The investment underscores strong global confidence in Rology’s mission to democratise radiology through AI-driven diagnostics and teleradiology solutions, particularly for remote and underserved low- and middle-income (LMIC) communities.
“This round brings together mission-aligned leaders across industry, research, and impact investing to advance AI reporting and expand access to high-quality radiology across MEA,” said Amr Abodraiaa, CEO of Rology.
Rology’s platform delivers zero-setup-cost, AI-accelerated diagnostic reporting across 12 radiology sub-specialties and 8 imaging modalities, generating reports in as little as 30 minutes. To date, Rology has delivered over 1.3 million radiology reports, impacted more than 1.2 million lives, and partnered with 300+ hospitals across 13 countries, supported by a network of 200+ radiologists. This positions the company as a critical infrastructure layer for healthcare systems across Africa and the Middle East.
As global imaging demand rises and radiologist shortages intensify, Rology’s FDA 510(k)-cleared teleradiology system provides an urgent solution—offering 99.89% clinical accuracy and up to 25% cost savings for diagnostic reporting. The company’s AI models and end-to-end teleradiology platform are designed to deliver faster, more scalable, and more accessible diagnostics.
The new funding follows Rology’s rapid expansion in Saudi Arabia and sustained growth in Kenya and broader African markets. The company has released 8 specialised AI tools focused on early disease detection, automated reporting, and workflow optimisation, powered by agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), and advanced foundation models.
