2PointZero Group Subsidiary Acquires Stake in US HealthTech Firm Whoop

Abu Dhabi, UAE – A subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi-listed 2PointZero Group PJSC has acquired an undisclosed stake in US-based HealthTech company Whoop, Inc. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Whoop, known for its subscription-based wearable platform, has raised over $400 million since its founding in 2005 from investors including SoftBank Vision Fund, IVP, and GP Bullhound.

Backed by the International Holding Company (IHC), 2PointZero Group is a diversified investment holding entity formed last year through the merger of 2PointZero, Multiply Group, and Ghitha Holding. The group holds scalable assets across energy, mining, and financial services, underlining its strategic growth across multiple sectors.

In February, the group reported its FY 2025 financial results, highlighting a 311% surge in revenue, with net profit reaching AED 3.6 billion ($980.25 million), reflecting only one month of consolidation following the mega-merger. The year also saw the completion of the sale of PAL Cooling, which generated a net gain of AED 2.7 billion. Despite an impairment loss of AED 0.8 billion against Kalyon Enerji, the group achieved an adjusted EBITDA of AED 3 billion, a substantial increase from AED 1.7 billion in FY 2024.

Net profit from operating businesses rose 158% year-on-year, driven by consolidation of Tendam, 2PointZero, and Ghitha, along with strong growth across all verticals. Reported net profit included AED 0.1 billion in unrealized revaluation gains from underlying investments and market fluctuations.

The group continues to advance integration and digital transformation initiatives across its portfolio, driving operational efficiency and sustained revenue momentum. Group revenue reached AED 7 billion, fueled by organic growth and consolidation, while maintaining a blended gross profit margin of 49%, reflecting continued profitability across the core businesses.
