Zid Acquires Zammit to Expand into the Egyptian and African E-commerce Markets

Zid, a leading E-commerce enablement company in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has announced a strategic partnership and acquisition of Zammit, an Egypt-based E-commerce platform, as part of its expansion strategy into the Egyptian and African markets.
Under this acquisition, Zammit will leverage Zid’s advanced technologies and infrastructure to enhance its operations in Egypt and later expand its services to other African markets. Zammit will also oversee Zid’s operational management in Egypt, including local sales, merchant onboarding, technical support, and regional expansion initiatives.
The Zammit management team will lead the integration process, product transfer, and team expansion, while maintaining a shared identity between both brands during the transition phase.
Mazen Al-Darrab, CEO of Zid, stated:
“This step reflects our confidence in Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and reaffirms our commitment to building from within.”
The agreement will officially come into effect on November 6, 2025.
Zid is recognized as a comprehensive E-commerce infrastructure platform across the MENA region, while Zammit, founded in 2020, provides software solutions that enable businesses to launch and manage their online stores efficiently.
