VOLZ Raises $5 Million in the Largest Startup Funding Round in Algeria’s History

Algeria-based travel technology company VOLZ has announced the close of a $5 million funding round, marking the largest startup funding round in Algeria’s history.
The round was led by Tell Group, with participation from GIBA Group (Babahom Industrial Group), the owner of the “Guedila” bottled water brand. The announcement was made during the Africa Startup Conference 2025 in Algiers, where VOLZ was among the event’s leading sponsors.
The funding represents a major milestone for Algeria’s tech ecosystem, delivering two landmark achievements:

- Receive tickets via delivery services
Commenting on the round, CEO Mohamed Abdelhadi Mezzi said:
“Our goal is to empower Algerian travelers and make travel simpler, clearer, and accessible to everyone. We value the support of the Algerian Startup Fund and welcome our new investors with ambition and responsibility.”
Following the raise, VOLZ plans to:
- Expand its operations within Algeria and launch new products
