VentureX Invests in Croptimus to Advance Regenerative Agriculture and Sustainable Supply Chains

VentureX has announced an investment in Egyptian agri-tech company Croptimus, which specializes in regenerative agriculture solutions and biochar production, aiming to enhance sustainability while reducing water and fertilizer consumption in the agricultural sector.

According to VentureX, the investment aligns with the vision of its business accelerator “Hassad”, which focuses on transforming sustainable agriculture and strengthening regional food security through innovation. The company noted that Croptimus is among the startups that graduated from the accelerator since its inception.

The investment targets the development of agricultural supply chains (B2B) across Egypt and the wider region, making them more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly through the deployment of bio-enhancing solutions such as biochar. These solutions help reduce water waste, improve crop health, provide eco-friendly alternatives, and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable food system.

Commenting on the partnership, Ahmed Hassanein, Founder of Croptimus, stated that the collaboration with VentureX represents a strategic step aligned with the company’s innovation-driven vision of converting agricultural and food waste into sustainable bio-products, supporting farmers and companies in reducing waste and emissions.

He added that Croptimus is currently accelerating the deployment of its technologies across regional and international markets to generate a greater environmental and economic impact.

Meanwhile, Malak Al-Ahmad, Investment Analyst at VentureX, confirmed that the investment will strengthen Croptimus’s capabilities to further develop its products and achieve its targeted growth objectives.
