SenseTime MEA and King Saud University Sign Strategic Partnership to Launch Joint AI Innovation Center in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Nov. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — SenseTime MEA, a PIF joint venture and an AI-native company accelerating digital transformation across education, entertainment, and smart cities in the Kingdom, has signed an agreement with King Saud University (KSU) to launch a Joint AI Innovation Center designed to serve as a Saudi-born platform for AI use cases, applied research, and sector-driven innovation.
In parallel with the deployment, SenseTime MEA is building a GPU cluster to provide the high-performance computing capacity required to power the Center, while supporting clients and stakeholders involved in initiatives across health, energy, entertainment, logistics, smart cities, environmental monitoring, space science, and other priority fields.
The collaboration with KSU will primarily focus on teaching, learning, research, and talent development, integrating intelligent course design, AI-assisted teaching, and post-class analytics into daily academic activities. The Center will also connect students and researchers to live, real-world projects aligned with the Kingdom's strategic sector needs.
Since its establishment in Saudi Arabia in 2022, SenseTime MEA has expanded its portfolio of intelligent solutions across smart cities, smart buildings, destinations, digital experiences, environment, and sustainability. The company has also contributed to a pioneering initiative that applies AI to monitor the Red Sea ecosystem, supporting efforts to protect coral reefs and marine biodiversity.
