Saudi’s ALLaM Model Steps onto the Global Stage via Hugging Face

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has announced the listing of its Saudi AI model, ALLaM 7B, on the global platform Hugging Face, a leading hub for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing.

This move is part of SDAIA’s efforts to position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for AI innovation.

The ALLaM model, which features 7 billion parameters, will be made available to developers and researchers worldwide, particularly highlighting its advanced capabilities in Arabic language processing.

Hugging Face offers open-source computational tools like Transformers, enabling users to build cutting-edge AI applications.

This announcement follows previous launches of the ALLaM model on other global platforms, including IBM’s watsonx, Microsoft Cloud in 2024, and Qualcomm’s AI Cloud in 2025.

A spokesperson for SDAIA stated, “Listing the ALLaM model on Hugging Face reflects our commitment to fostering innovation and empowering developers and researchers to leverage advanced AI technologies, especially in Arabic language processing.”
