Replit Raises $400M Series D at $9B Valuation as AI-Powered “Vibe Coding” Platform Accelerates Global Growth

Replit, the AI-powered coding platform, has raised $400 million in a Series D funding round, pushing the company’s valuation to $9 billion.
The round was led by Georgian Partners, a previous investor in the company, with participation from several prominent investment firms including G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, and Y Combinator, as well as corporate venture arms such as Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Databricks Ventures.
Founder and CEO Amjad Masad also revealed in a post on X that the round included angel investors Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto.
The new investment comes less than a year after the company raised $250 million in September, a round that valued Replit at $3 billion, highlighting the startup’s rapid growth trajectory.
Replit offers a platform that enables users to build applications and write code using simple text prompts powered by artificial intelligence, a concept often referred to in the industry as “Vibe Coding.” This approach allows even non-programmers to create complete applications using AI-assisted development tools.
While the company has not disclosed updated annual recurring revenue figures, Replit told Forbes that it aims to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of the year.
Masad previously told TechCrunch that the company’s recent success came after nine years of intensive work, along with a strategic pivot from focusing on professional developers to empowering non-programmers to build applications.
The funding comes amid growing competition in the AI-powered software development tools market, where startups and major technology companies are racing to reshape how software is built.
