Moroccan LegalTech Startup Charikaty Secures $163K to Accelerate Business Digitization

Moroccan LegalTech startup Charikaty has secured $163,000 in funding during its participation in the third season of “Qui Veut Investir Dans Mon Projet?” broadcast on Morocco’s national channel 2M.

The investment was led by Ilan Benhaim, Co-founder of Veepee and Chairman of Endeavor Morocco, alongside Karim Amor, President of MeM by CGEM and Founder of Epineon.ai. The commitment followed the company’s presentation of its growth trajectory and market potential during the show.

Founded by Amr Yassine and Driss Sijelmassi, Charikaty focuses on digitizing company formation and corporate modification procedures in Morocco, including legal structuring, government registration, amendments, document preparation, trademark registration, and ongoing compliance management. The platform targets entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking a streamlined digital experience.

The newly secured capital will be deployed to enhance the company’s technology platform, expand operations nationwide, and broaden its customer base to include entrepreneurs, SMEs, and Moroccans living abroad.

With more than 90,000 new companies registered annually in Morocco, in alignment with the government’s “Morocco Digital 2030” strategy, demand for efficient digital administrative solutions continues to grow. Charikaty aims to reduce the time and complexity associated with traditional procedures by providing a more transparent and efficient digital alternative.
