Emversity Secures $5 Mn Pre-Series A Investment to Scale Vocational Training Across the U.S.

Beyond Odds Technologies, the U.S.-based parent company of vocational training platform Emversity, has raised $5 million in its pre-Series A funding round, led by Lightspeed and Z47, with participation from Alteria Capital and Innoven Capital.
The company was founded in April 2024 by Vivek Sinha, the former COO of Unacademy, with $11 million in seed funding led by Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed.
Emversity currently operates across 36 campuses in 18 states, with plans to expand to over 75 campuses by the end of the fiscal year. The platform focuses on building a skilled grey-collar workforce in key industries such as healthcare, travel, and hospitality.
Its initiatives include the Emversity School of Allied Health Sciences, where students are trained for roles such as nurses, paramedics, lab technicians, and caregivers. The newly launched Emversity School of Hospitality offers training in food service, room operations, and culinary arts, in collaboration with leading hotel chains.
Emversity’s model integrates industry-driven training into higher education, featuring employer-sponsored stipends and customized curricula developed by top companies to enhance job readiness and accessibility.
The company currently runs two programs, SMART and EDGE, offering vocational and honors degree options in partnership with higher education institutions. Both programs include training, internships, and post-graduation job placements.
