Bekya Pay Turns Waste into Economic Value, Securing Founders a Spot on Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2025

Entrepreneurs Omar Saleh, Mohamed Hamdy, and Mohamed Ibrahim have successfully transformed recycling into a sustainable economic opportunity through the launch of Bekya Pay, a platform designed to encourage households and businesses to recycle waste in exchange for financial incentives and shopping vouchers.
Founded in March 2024, the platform operates through an integrated system that includes smart collection solutions and a mobile pickup service, enabling users to connect directly with factories while also integrating the informal sector into the recycling value chain.
In less than a year, the platform has demonstrated rapid growth, securing partnerships with major organizations including Fathallah Markets, French-speaking schools, and Banque Misr, expanding its reach across multiple segments.
Bekya Pay has attracted more than 25,000 users and processed around 400 tons of waste, while expecting to sign approximately 20 corporate contracts annually, reflecting both the scalability of its model and its environmental impact.
By the end of 2025, the three founders were recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, highlighting their achievement in transforming waste into economic value and environmental impact.
