About
Sami Alsodais is a prominent Saudi leader in intellectual property development, with over two decades of experience spanning technical, regulatory, and executive roles. He has played a key part in shaping Saudi Arabia’s IP ecosystem, starting his career at the Saudi Patent Office and advancing through senior positions up to Director General before joining the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP). At SAIP, he has held several leadership roles, including Deputy CEO for IP Policy and Strategy, Corporate Affairs, and currently Intellectual Property Ecosystem Support, where he focuses on strengthening national IP frameworks and international cooperation. Internationally, he has chaired major IP bodies such as the Paris Union and Berne Union assemblies, reflecting his influence in global policy discussions. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University and studied Business Administration at London Business School, combining technical expertise with strategic governance.
